Volunteers
Are Welcome |
|
We would appreciate participation
from volunteers
to help us at the local community level.
If you have a computer, have Internet access available,
and are willing to be listed as a local community contact,
your assistance will be very much appreciated.
We want to make sure that every local community,
especially the horse owners, breeders, ranchers,
cattle and livestock producers, grain and feed producers,
farmers, livestock groups, other agricultural groups etc.
are kept aware of this web site and have the availability
to post their information regarding their local situation.
Here is what you can do as a volunteer in your area:
- You can act as a
contact point for anyone in your community that wishes to list their
needs or surpluses but wants to maintain their anonymity.
- Let your
friends, neighbors and community residents know that you can assist
them to list their needs or surpluses on the web site if they do not
have Internet access at home.
- You can contact
your local community newspaper and encourage them to provide a small
space in each paper promoting the fact that their readers can post
their needs or surplus on the web site.
- I can provide
you with an 8.5" X 11 " page that looks like the front of
web site that you can print in B&W on your printer. You can then
put it up on the bulletin boards in the town post office, grocery
store or other locations that will allow it.
- If your area is
experiencing drought conditions you can also print the list of
people that have feed, pasture, etc available and post that
information on the bulletin boards.
- You can contact
your local agricultural groups and let them know what this
site does and how they can list at no cost.
- There is a lot
you can do and your community will benefit from it.
