To
Our Neighbours and Friends,
The London Conference Rural Life Committee of the United Church of
Canada (southwestern Ontario and Algoma) wish to let our fellow
farmers know that we care. We have held you in our prayers and
those who could, have donated crop. We too have experienced
drought in many areas, sometimes only a concession road making the
difference between enough rain and not enough rain.
Farming, is what
it is, and we are the stewards of the land only for the time it is
ours. Therefore, we need to stand together as prayer partners if
that is all we are able to do. There have been other times of
drought and we learned from those experiences. Hopefully, we can
learn again the value of stewardship and community, and have
a true sense of what it means to 'care enough'.
Blessings to all
of the farm families in Alberta and Saskatchewan.
Sincerely,
Margaret Hern,
Chair,
London Conference Rural Life Committee
